hi all: I have a IBM thinkpad laptop that comes with a optical drive which is not reading CD at all. When I check the device manager in hardware. It shows the drive is properly installed and working. However no matter what CD i put it in. it is not reading the content of the CD nor running any setup CD. what can I do?? is it related to spyware or virus ?? Thanks for you help

Hi, Try removing the CD driver from SYSTEM MANAGER. Re-Boot. If the drive still does not work then it is probably bad. Good Luck, Jim
