Just about anything on the market should work. Probably about 4 screws holding the old drive, and power connection, IDE cable, and sound cable. Very easy, so don't be intimidated. If you can change the battery in any of todays electronic gadgets, you should be able to handle this project. Make sure the jumper settings on the rear of the new drove match the old. If you run into problems, let us know. HTH

I agree with MrSecret, it's quite easy.

First of think about buying a DVD-Rom instead of a CD-Rom. It shouldn't cost much more but you can play you CD's and in addition DVD's in it.

If you need a more detailed description just say so !!!!
