I have 1 dvd burner, 1 cd burner, and 1 dvd rom drive. All of a sudden, they all do no work anymore . They all don't read any discs i put in them. It just shows the lights flashing and on screen it shows it loading for a little then nothing.
I've already tried rebooting so what should i do now?

There's really no point in having all 3 optical drives installed since the DVD burner can handle all the duties. Decide which two you wanna use & remove the 3rd. One of them (dvd reader?) should be paired up with the HDD as primary slave & the other (dvd burner?) should be the 2ndary master. It's best to avoid putting two optical drives on the same cable/channel. Always use the master or slave jumper...NEVER use cable select.

If the above does not work, try replacing the cable (which may have been the cause of your original problem.)

It would be better to leave the HDD alone in the primary channel and the 2 optical drives in the secondary channel because then you can get ATA100 transfer speed for your hard disk and ATA33 for the 2 optical drives, provided you use the 80-cable for the hard disk. Nowadays even dvd burner is running at ATA33, except for some "bogus" dvd-burner, which said can attain ATA100 and then drop down to PIO-3 if there is error (read the specs on the dvd box/manual).

There's no problem pairing up an ATA33 & ATA100 device...independent device timimg has been built into IDE controllers since the days of the socket 7 & the speed of one device does not effect of the speed of another on the same cable/channel. But there can be problems when pairing up two optical drives on the same cable/channel...for whatever reason, they sometimes don't "play" well together. Also, if you wanna make copies "on the fly", it's always best to burn from channel to channel rather than between two devices on the same channel
