Till now my CD-ROM drive was working fine. But since a past few days I am facing this problem.
The CD drive keeps on ejecting automatically. It keeps going in and out as soon as the computer is powered on. I had to disable it.
Can anyone plz. suggest what could be the problem.

Sounds like a microswitch inside the drive has gone bad. That's why it keeps ejecting on its own. Probably time to buy a replacement CD drive.

Another possibility is the drawer does not completely close, so the microswitch doesn't open. I worked on a drive that did this. Had a piece of paper (dollar bill) jammed in drive. However it may not be worth the effort to disassemble the drive. Buy a new one.
