Any lights on the drive? As stated, look for the tiny hole 1 1/2 inches from the left just below to door. Straighten out a paper clip and use it to feel around for the release. Should be able to get it open at least half an inch. If no lights go on when you push buttons then either the power is disconnected or the drive has died.

were you working on this with the PC powered on? if so, you probably made it harder on yourself - the PC may continuously try to close the drive while you're trying to open it.
if this is still an issue, power off the PC, then try to slide the CD tray all the way in or out (if it is stuck in place, use the paperclip in the tiny hole next to the open button). Once the tray is all the way open or closed, power on the PC and it should either close, or you will just hear it settle into place. If that doesn't work (open/closed), try the other option (closed/open).
