Hi all, My friend, who lives in another province, is have trouble with his cd burner. He has a reasonably fast generic brand pc, approx. 2Ghz. I'm not sure about the rest of the specs and haven't asked him for many details about it but here is what is happening: When he tries to burn a music cd with Nero, the burn process fails at varying percentages...56%, 99%, etc. So far I have had him try different media, different music files, reinstalling Nero and burning at a slower speed. Beyond that I'm not sure what to suggest. Given the scant details does anyone have any ideas? Thx Gary

Is he running Windows 2000 O/S If so, there is issues with Nero not running properly on certain CD Burners. You can download a Nero update and update files for the burner from the Nero website. I encountered the same issues, but as long as you get the right Burner files, all will work. Phyto

Also, are the CD and CD-RW drives on the same ide channel. This can sometimes cause issues such as this and Nero even warns you about this during install.
