Hi
My CD RW and DVD ROM drives don't allow me to access some CDs. I have cleaned the lenses on both drives hoping it would work but nada! What is there I can do to fix my problem?

Hello
How old are the drives? After a while the drives lasers just go bad. The longest I have had a CD drive last is 2 years. They slowly start to go bad reading only the good CD's then they get pickier and pickier on what they can read. You could go back in the past and take better care of your lenses, but other than that I don't know that there is anything you can do.

Hi Josh
Thanks for the info. I didn't even know that the drive lasers deteriorated with time. I have had my drives for three years. So does it mean that I have to get new drives for my pc?
