CD and DVD drive

CPU/Ram: 2.69 Celeron/512 mb

I have an older P3 with a CD drive in it. This computer is a Compaq Deskpro, so the drive is a lot smaller. I wanted to replace it with a DVD drive, but the cable is too small for the drive.

Now obviously this won't fit into the case, but is there anyway to connect the DVD drive to that computer?

Looks to me like the cd rom is a scsi drive so you if you have an ide channel and a cable, you still might be able to hook up dvd player.

Put now I have another problem. Since that CD drive didnt need a power cable, I have no power cables to use for the DVD drive...
