I have an older P3 with a CD drive in it. This computer is a Compaq Deskpro, so the drive is a lot smaller. I wanted to replace it with a DVD drive, but the cable is too small for the drive.

Here is a picture: http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/4374/drives8ko.png

(Sorry that its so blurry :P)

Now obviously this won't fit into the case, but is there anyway to connect the DVD drive to that computer?

Thanks.

Looks to me like the cd rom is a scsi drive so you if you have an ide channel and a cable, you still might be able to hook up dvd player.

I found an IDE channel hidden under all the cables. Thanks!

Put now I have another problem. Since that CD drive didnt need a power cable, I have no power cables to use for the DVD drive...
