As I'm building my own computer, I'm looking around for any helpful info. and advice I can get on various parts. One thing I'm interested in getting some opinions on right now is cases, cooling supplies and power supplies.
I'm interested in getting a good quality case that will allow me plenty of room inside it including the ability to easily upgrade and expand it. I'd ideally like a full tower that is atx compatible and perhaps even btx compatible and I'd like it to have the right balance of all the features people look for in a case, those being.... ports, structure for proper ventilating, plenty of drive bays, capable of keeping the computer quiet, and to look good too with a side window and all. I've been looking at various cases and brands that are typically recommended. I'm curious, would anyone think "Thermaltake" is a good brand to consider? Or would other brands like Antec, Lian Li, and Coolermaster be better?
Would I be better off buying one online from a site like newegg or from thermaltakes website or from a local store like CompUSA. I have a CompUSA store nearby and I don't like their customer service, but would anyone know if they carry good cases?
What would also be a good cooling kit to get? I'd like to get a good cooling system as well as all the interesting led light accessories and such for my case.
Last of all, I'm interested in knowing who makes good power supplies. I'm probably looking for at least a 600 watt power supply considering how I'm going to be building and upgrading my computer. It's going to need plenty of power with a SLI board, etc. I've considered "PC Power and Cooling" as one option. So I'd just like to hear all opinions out there.
