Comment:

I have just bought a new case at the recommendation of a PC magazine article - it's O.K. but I really want one where I can assemble the mobo seperately and have the ability to keep things cool too(prescott airduct). Does anyone know of a website with an uptodate review of cases?

thanx

try tomshardware, they review pretty much anyhting. if you are looking for quality cases, look into the antec line.

I would very much like to buy an Antec case (because I have an Antec PSU which is good build quality and fairly quiet), but I can't see an Antec case with a removeable main board tray?

My ancient (1998, 1999) InWin A500 has a removable mobo tray and a one-piece top/sides...I swear by it, it's very sturdy and has had three motherboards, three hard drives, three processors, three power supplies (the second one killed mobo/processor #2, but the stock one was fine except for its 235w rating). I'd go for something of this sort...rock solid. I have the top and sides off of it, so it is nicely cooled...

Oldie, but goodie.:)

MordredHaidar - I have the top and sides off of it, so it is nicely cooled...you realize that by removing the top and sides you actually lessen the airflow and cooling ability of the system, right?

As for the Antec, I'll look around and post back if I find one.

Take a look at this budget case with removable mobo tray (or so it says).
