So, yer looking to have your cake and eat it too? It's hard to get the best of both worlds. If you want quiet with GOOD cooling power, then the vantec stealth line is what you want. You should go with the 90-92 mm line, they move more air and lower rpm's than 80mm. Your not really gonna find a fan that is quiet and has excellent cooling power, but the stealth will get you close. You may also wanna consider getting a fan buss that lets you adust the speed of your fans, so on the hot days you can crank it up, but it will be a bit noisey, or on the cool days, turn it down so you dont hear it, but it still functions.

I have good experiences with the Coolermaster's. Those fans make 25 db noise each and if so if you have more than 3 of those, it will get annoying.

This is a good fan, but it's more noisy than the stealth. I personally dont like it when a fan controlls itself, but thats just me. Other than that, yes,it's a good fan.

Panasonic makes a line of fans called Panaflo. They come in loud, medium and quiet flavors. A "panaflo" google search will hook you up.

You may also stumble across some lo dollar sleeve bearing fans the move air without a lot of noise and the best way to find out is buy one and test it. Some fans run well at low voltage and some clunk around. Some cheap fans run forever and others die. Some expensive fans die in a few months and some are old enough to drink.

I'm reminded about twice a year that of cool, quiet, or cheap you can pick any two of the three.
