Just a quick one people,
I have just upgraded my case for my monster system so I now have a spare case which was pretty groovy but didn't incorporate the features that I wanted.

My question though is this:- My sister has a Packard Bell P3 500 system and was wondering if my spare case would suit her machine. There is also a 450wat PSU in this case which I think I would want to hold on to so I would need to transfer her PSU as well.

All in all, can you use a case from a P4 system with a P3 system.

Thanks all

GaryM

Short answer is a qualified yes. Qualified in that sometimes proprietary machines do not conform to "standard" parameters. eg I have had a couple of compaq systems and their motherboard/psu components simply will not fit in a standard ATX case. I have no idea whether PB conforms to standard ATX configuration, but in general terms a P4 ATX case/PSU will accommodate a P3 ATX board.
