CAS Latency

I was woundering if I mix two different types of ram with 2 different CAS latencys..would that affect anything or make a difference? anyhelp plz
currently have ram with Cas - 2
want to buy a stick with Cas - 3

Yes it would make a difference. Either it will not work or both lots will work at the slowest speed of each stick. That is if you had a 266MHz stick with a Cas latency of 2 and a 400MHz stick with a cas latency of 3, both will run at 266MHz Cas latency 3.
