OK, here's a fun question (maybe). I'm a cartoonist and I need some 'grade:A' technobabble about Internet connections. Can anyone help me?

Basically I want to say, "This new modem will be much faster then that old 28k one you were using"

I want it to be SO technical and riddled with computer terminology that to the average neophyte it's almost impossible to interpret.

Anyone want to give it a shot!? I'm posting this, now, on a few forums here. Let your creative juices flow!

THANKS!

This new modulator-demodulator will significantly increase the flow of Internet Protocol packets from 28 kilobytes per second, to approximately 45 kilobytes per second.

...So the big boys supporting the the x2 and K56flex standards got together and gave us the ITU-T V.90. It just lays waste to the old CCITT V.34 junker your using, plus it has the improved ITU-T V.17 Fax Modulation Scheme as well as the CCITT v.42 error-correcting standard giving you automatic retransmission of corrupted data packets and up to 4:1 compression resulting in less overhead. All your gonna need now is to find you an ISP with digital upstream capabilities and away you go.

The new V.92 protocol is desined for faster uploads and provides more flexibility and greater control over your internet experience .Delayed and broadcast faxing,Caller ID and distinctive ring support. Also has V.80 video confrencing available compatabable with ITU and bell standards from 56 Kbps to 1200bps and V.42MNP2-4 error control V.42/ MNP 5 data compression. The modulater and demodulater are built on to the modem so you dont have to reley on your PC and sound card to do the actual work of the modem it is complety controled by the modem it self .This does not apply to win or soft modems that use the V.92 protocal they reley on your pc to do the work for them.
Take Care
