I'm considering upgrading my video card fom a GeForce FX5600 Ultra to a 9800 Pro. I'm using an 1800+ at stock speed (1.53) with a gig of PC2100. Would this system be a serious bottleneck to the 9800? I'm using a Gigabyte G7N400-L mobo with AGP 8X.

I'm sure you'd see some improvement but running a 9800 pro in a 1800+ system, you'd never get to see exactly what the card is capable of.

the fx5600ultra is a POS to be honest so yes you will see a pretty decent increase with a 9800pro

I know it will be a big improvement, but I was wondering if the bottle neck would make the investment worth it. I'm not able to upgrade cpu and RAM at the moment.

to be honest there isnt a hell of alot of difference in a system running a 1ghz processor and a system running a 2ghz processor if all the other components are the same, there is but not as much as youd think, you can get away with having a shabby cpu if your running a decent gfx card

Depends on the game.
UT2k3 was very CPU dependant. I think Far Cry is also another one that likes to hog on your CPU.
