Hi! I am looking for a great video card to view my pc on my tv screen. Games is not an issue here! Also, if there is a card that enables me to record tv and video directly into my pc, this would be great. I am considering buying a seprate hardware for video editing "Dazzle"; if there is a card that combines these task, I would be happy to know it. I need a video card that works on ASUS P4PE/L Motherboard for Intel P4 478 Thanks

The All-In-Wonder series of cards can record tv, import video (not great though) and output to TV. Its not an amazing card for games, but you said that wasnt important.

I use a Lifeview TV tuner card that allows me to watch TV on my PC [also listen to radio]. It has software that enables you to record broadcasts onto the Hard Disk. Pinnacle are another maker of this type of PCI device. TV Wonder USB Edition from ATI is a 125-channel external tuner that plugs into a PC's USB port. A PCI tuner card should cost less than US $80. A good AGP card with video out [such as a Geoforce 4] will be aournd $150. Certain AGP cards allow TV out, which you can easily use, if yours doesn't have this feature, the combination of 2 cards may be a better solution than a 'combo' like the All-in-Wonder: the 9700 PRO is advertised at around US$ 450!

Thanks. I want something that enables me to view my pc using my TV not the other way laround "tv-pc". I will be building my own pc with MSI G4Ti4200-VTD64 GeForce4 Ti4200 AGP 4X 64MB DDR Video Card w DVI & VIVO Retail. To my knowledge, this card would enable me to view my pc into my tv but I do not know what extra hardware I need to get in order to record tv programs into my pc hd. Please help. Thanks
