I put a new power supply into my computer, because I smelled a burning smell and now when I turn on the computer, I cannot get by the second startup screen. Nothing on the keyboard will change this situation. I hooked up a new keyboard and rechecked the power supply connections. Nothing on the board looks fried. I cannot access the bios either. HELP ME!

I take it you are at least getting some kind of display, and you are getting an initila single POST beep. To troubleshoot turn off all power. Disconnect all drives from both data and power cables. Remove all PCI/AGP cards except your graphics card. Remove all but 1 stick of ram. Disconnect your mouse and any other USB devices & network/modem cables. Leave only the motherboard, CPU with heatsink fan, 1 stick of ram, Graphics card, monitor and keyboard. Now power up and see if you can boot into bios. If so then power off and add one device at a time, restarting between each added part until you get a failure.
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

Good idea Richard, I never though of that. I'll try that tomorrow and get back with you. You are right, I do get 1 beep, I can hit the tab key on the first screen but no other keys will work. On the second screen, I can do nothing. Thanks,
