Specs: Mac os 9
Imac g3 wont boot

Everytime I try to start my machine I hear the normall sound they I get a blank dark grey screen and then it just hangs there. I have tried pram, nvram booting up cd with c key and d key, cmd opt del and starting up with alt held down but to no avail. When I held down alt opt and del key It went to the bootloader screen but there was no harddrive or cd rom there just the refresh arrow and the right arrow and the clock time just spinning round.

Not even the original os cd will boot.

Does anybody have any ideas how to solve this

Sounds like the motherboard BIOs is unable to locate any devices to boot from. You might try to reset the BIOs to manufacturer defaults on the MoBo. Check MoBo documentation on how to do that.

How old is the motherboard?

When I leave the blank screen for ages I get a folder with the mac os logo on it now. The motherboard is the original one from when it was made.
