okay....

heh, my comp doesn't work

i got a few xp bsod's saying something about a kernel error, then a win32k.sys error
and that it was gonna do a physical memory dump...so i restart...monitor stays in standby..
i can't see bios, i can't see it boot up...i can't see anything,, i restart....now only one of my cd drives works and powers up, my floppy does too, i still have no visual..i tried pulling the battery, didn't work...had no cmos/bios reset jumper settings...i got a new motherboard...worked booted up...got into windows and everything...restarted after installing drivers...same problem as before...one cd drive...no visual...i have cmos reset jumper setting...works...once in a while, can't restart with all my hardware, i take off some of the optical drives, and the slave hd...doesn't work...having problems getting cmos jumper reset to work now...anyone have any idea...im leaning towards power supply right now...i've tried different video cards and stuff...so yeah...help is greatly appreciated

yeah, i managed to do that by sticking my hard drive in a dif computer...i don't see how that would effect not showing a boot screen, and new info:

-ide cables, any drives i plug an ide cable into, wont power up, regardless of whether or not it boots

Have you set the clear cmos jumper to save?

not identical hardware...but i've done it before without errors...and yes, ive reset the cmos, and moved the jumper back to default position
