I need to take out my video card from my motherboard (ecs k7s5a). I only got the side with the monitor port to come out so its slanted. I think there may be a lock or maybe Im just not pulling hard enough, if anyone that has my motherboard could help me Id really appreciate it

I'm not sure what we can tell you that you can't see with your own eyes.

If it's an AGP card, there may be a release tab (maybe look?)

Maybe you have an L-hook AGP card. Looking at a similar sample card, you'd notice along the bottom edge of the card are two groups of gold colored "fingers" that fit down into the AGP slot. Beside them is an L-shaped hook that catches a lever type latch at the front of the slot, helping to hold the card securely in place.

Now, we'll turn our attention to your k7s5a motherboard, and its AGP slot. You'll see a brown slot with a white latch at it very end, right above the five white PCI slots. This white latch normally grasps the L-shaped hook on the video card.

To remove the card, the first step is to undo the latch by opening it - push it away, and that releases the lever latching the L hook on the card's end. And you can then safely pull the out the card in one or two upward motion pulls.

Goodluck!

Admirably outlined & illustrated - a task of devilish complexity simplified ; )

You'd be amazed at how many cards and or motherboards I've seen thrashed, due to this unseemingly innocuous chore...............LOL

Oh yeah, I've even seen the occasional board nearly destroyed by someone impetuously yanking off the monitor cable

Maybe I've been doing this too long, but most unfamiliar devices can be puzzled out by means of observation and a little thought - these things aren't deliberately designed to confuzzle, if it's not working, then you're likely doing it wrong

Still, it's always easier (once you know how)
