Specs: Windows 7
Everytime I go to play any game my computer seems to freeze. Although, the games I try to play do work, it takes ages to load up and it stutters horribly. Going online and running applications is fine. It only happens when I try to play any game. Could this be a Power Supply Unit fault or has my CPU gone bad? My Processor is an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Qaud CPU Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz.
My memory is: 2048MB RAM. My graphics card is a brand new (just bought it 2 days ago), Radeon HD 5850 1GB GDDR5. My power supply is a 700 Watt unit. I should also mention that although the games do eventually load up, it stutters and freezes to the point that it's not worth playing any of the games at all.

Frustrated. :(

I would say that it's not a bad processor. If your CPU had "gone bad" your system probably wouldn't work at all.

Did this problem start happening after you bought the new video card, or did you buy the new video card to see if it solved the problem?

If it started happening after you bought the new card, I would make sure it's connected all correctly, including the 12v cables. The new video cards need a lot of power.

700w should be enough, but sometimes that depends on what else you have in your system.

Also, make sure your video card is plugged into the appropriate slot on your Motherboard. Some motherboards have a primary and secondary slot.
