I have an old Windows Xp and last time i used it, it
got a virus. So now when i turn on the computer and
click on my account my desktop wallpaper loads up
but then it takes me back to the welcome screen.
This happens everytime. The reason why i want to fix
this computer is because i have tons of old pictures
on it from middle and high school that i want back.
What do i do to fix it? please keep in mind that im not
a computer expert and that i need slow instructions

My suggestion would be to physically remove the hard drive. Then hook it up to another PC with an (inexpensive) USB adapter cable. You can rescue your pictures and then proceed with trying to fix the old system. That way you won't have to worry about an accident wiping out your pictures
Then make sure you back them up. :-)

okay now how would i remove the hard drive...and what does
the hard drive look like? =] im horrible with this computing stuff

The following web page has some videos on replacing a hard drive. PCs are not all the same, so it probably will not look exactly like yours. You might also want to checkout youtube.com for additional videos. A google search for replacing a hard drive should turn up some more helpful info.
