The WPS button is on the router, not the printer.

A WPS button only effect your Local Area Network and only if you are using wi-fi, nor does it have anything to do with your ISP.

Having said that. WPS is best avoided as it is a security risk. It is not necessary and you can do everything you need without it.

Explain what it is you are trying to do and I am sure someone can help you.

I changed Internet service and use wireless. I need to reprogram my printer to the
new wireless code but every time I get past the lan prompt it says hold the wps
button for 5 seconds and then press ok.

Someone said the wps was on the router and not the printer. I pressed the reset on the router with a pin. It looks like everything reset, but when I went back to the printer,
and entered the number which begins with H it failed again.

Note I don't have letters on the printer. The H is in the number 4 position and now
the installer is saying you may have to press 4444 a number of times to change the h to a 4. What? I took a break and will try again tomorrow or wait until they can come out.

The WPS button & the reset button are completely different things. The WPS button will be clearly labeled, WPS. If you're certain your router doesn't have a WPS button, you may have to activate it from within the router setup menu. Please post the make/model of your router.

I found the wps, but it now looks like I have major problems with my Internet provider or the line outside my house is broken or crossed. Thanks for all the help.
Changing Internet providers is not as easy as they claim. Thanks everyone
