Comment: I recently bought an Asus A7N8X-E mobo, after having had a A7N8X-X for a while. But I am unable to install the Athlon 2500XP cpu in it - i can't get the lever to come down. I've been trying for hours to no avail. can anyone help ? thx adam

Reply: (edit)does the lever go fully up and down without the cpu in the socket? are you sure you have got the cpu in right way round and right down flush against the socket?

Reply: (edit)The lever goes fully up and down without the cpu in the socket. the cpu inserts fine and lays flat, but i've noticed that if i push the top left corner the cpu wobbles slightly thx adam

Reply: (edit)Fixed it! I ripped the 1700 out of this machine to see if any cpu could go in there or not. it was stiff but went in. then i tried the 2500 and it was stiff but went in too. that doesn't sound too good does it...... :S anyway, thx adam
