Comment: I have an Asus A7V266-E and I can't get to the BIOS. Pressing the delete key at start-up is supposed to enter BIOS setup, but it doesn't. I've tried everything: I tried resetting the BIOS, removing the battery, removing all unnecessary devices, and pressing every "F" key on the keyboard at start-up but nothing works. I can't boot from a floppy or from a CD so I can't update the BIOS or install an OS. POST detects everything and shows no errors but nothing happens after POST. I'm thinking maybe the jumper settings are wrong but the manual doesn't show the default jumper settings and I can't find them on the internet. Has anyone had a similar problem? Should I get a new motherboard? Thanks.

Reply: (edit)The keyboard works. When I press DEL at start-up, the computer acts like it is going into BIOS setup but the screen just goes blank. If I don't press DEL, the computer POSTs and then the sceen goes blank.
