Specs: Windows XP Pro, 5.1, Build 2600, Amd Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, 2.5GB
Currently I have an on board nvidia chip for a graphic accelerator that came with it, but recenelty i tried to install a pci-e 2.0 card and it wouldnt recognize it when i booted up.

I was wondering if it could have been because the BIOS wasnt set to 'Primary PCI-E'

Please reply. Thank you.

I assume you mean that you connected the monitor to the PCI-E' card and that you didn't see anything on the monitor ? If that is the case, then you should connect to the onboard video, then disable the onboard video, and then change to to 'Primary PCI-E' as you suggested.
