Trying to flash my BIOS but not having any success. I have an Asus A7S333 mobo. I've downloaded AFLASH.EXE from Asus, as well as the current BIOS file. When I go to run AFLASH at the dos prompt, I get the following message: ERROR! Can't Find System BIOS' Hook.

I've searched these forums, and found that one possibility is a jumper to safeguard the BIOS...but I haven't found any such jumper on the board or in the manual.

If anybody out there has any experience with this board, or any thoughts, I'll look forward to hearing from you!

The jumper you speak of is not on your board. the jumper is for the SIS730 chipset and it switches from 5V (protected) to 12V so you can flash your bios. I have resaerched and found many articles on that board (A7S333) and there should not be a problem.The chipset you have is the SIS745 and I can only find BIOS updates for it at ASUS's website. I would suggest re-downlaoding the AFlash file cause yours could possibly be corrupted. other than that I have no suggestions
