Can't display anything, what to do?

Specs: Windows XP Professional, 2.392 GHz / 1021 MB
I'm just messing around with old hardware and stuff, as usual, until I set my Matrox MGA Mystique to display 1024x768 in 256colours. Now when I boot into Windows 98, the screen won't show anything but crazy @$$ lines and saying a blue box about hertz. So I'm assuming that the screen does not support it, so how do I change it back? I can't see a dam thing. And I don't want to wipe the hard drive and go through the Win98 install crap again, does anyone know what to do?

Computer=IBM Netvista
CPU=Pentium IV 2.4GHz
Graphics=FX5500
RAM=1GB

Can you see the bios screen? Hold down or rapidly tap F8 and see if it goes into Safe Mode. If it does, see if you can undo it from there.

Yes it worked, thank you, now I don't have to do a night of Win98 reinstall!
