I recently purchased a U3 smart drive which you can use to store programs as well as storage for files. I copied a picture to the jump drive intending to copy the picture to a miniSD card. When I try to do this, I get the following error message: Cannot copy filename.ext The disk is write-protected. Remove the write protection or use another disk. I attempted to uncheck the read only attribute of the folder on the jump drive but that had no effect. Dragging the folder to the Shared Documents folder had no effect either. Same error message. The jump drive is a SanDisk U3 Cruzer. Is this the normal behavior of one of these drives? I can copy to the drive with no problem; copying from the drive presents the error. I've done this with other jump drives which were storage only. Thanks.
