can't burn dvd

i have a lite-on dvd burner which is newer and it has the latest firmware. i use 1click dvd copy pro to burn dvds. i have dvd43 running in the background. about a week ago i could burn dvd's fine. i'm using the same burner, programs, and blank dvd's i used then. but now it keeps saying burn process failed. it says something like "burn layer is not ready"? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

try burning
1) at slower speed
2) different brand of media
3) check under hardware settings burner is in dma mode or auto but not pio.

take it back for refund / exchange.

When error messages are involved, they should be posted 'exactly'. A Google search will vary often turn up some answers.

well i fixed it. my burner wasn't in pio mode but my hdd was. i uninstalled the primary ide channel and rebooted my comp so it would redetect and viola! thanks for your feedback.
