can't boot my dell 4400; says 'system 32' file missing

Specs: Windows XP
Don't have a boot disc. Tried to burn one but computer can't read. Where can I get a disc that will let me boot and reload XP?

As far as the error listed in the title, it is most likely that the "System32" folder got deleted, which is 100% critical to the Operating System. Now to reload XP, you will have to buy a new copy of Windows XP. If you borrow one from a friend, it won't activate (and it will be illegal). You will have to buy a new copy.

If u know where to look u can get free copy of win xp sp3(no activation is required). If get this free copy u will have to start from scratch.
