Reply: (edit)You could use the windows 98 bootdisk to bootup. Make sure to boot from floppy first and then do a format again (do a quick one). Then take out the floppy and reboot. Boot into cd first and insert the windows cd. It should begin the installation. bootdisks http://www.bootdisk.com Hope that helps. Kevin.

Reply: (edit)Hi.In the BIOS there should be an option to 'Reset defaults' or 'Load System Defaults' (something like that,it differs slightly from BIOS to BIOS).Try that first. If thats no good flash the BIOS with the latest image and try again. As you say,it SHOULD boot from the CD.This may be a silly question but are you using a genuine CD?i.e is it bootable?Sorry but had to ask.... Reply: (edit)so your saying that after t\you put this bootup disk in http://www.mirrors.org/archived_software/www.bootdisk.com/original.htm the one on the bottom of that site, and type i386\winnt.exe at the cd letter then pressed enter, you got that (remove disks and other media) sounds like a bad Xp cd or bios needs flashed..
