Comment: I'm having trouble booting my computer. It was on sitting idle one day then it just went to a black screen asking me to put in a boot disk then hit any key. I tryed turning it on and off but the same screen keeps appearing, i can't enter my bios by pressing F8 or Esc i have tryed every key. The computer has two hard drives in it, i thought one might have died so i swaped it with a working one but the same screen appears. The computer has a floppy drive dvd burner and cd-rom about 512mb of RAM and is about 3 years old, sorry about the sketchy details but its a mates. I don't know wether i have a problem with the BIOS or hardware issues. Any ideas on how to get windows back would be appreciated, i tryed posting before but didn't give a very helpful description hopefully this is a little better, thanks for all your replys last time, cheers.

Reply: (edit)If you have an XP disc, pop it in and reboot, then at the prompt hit any key to boot from disc. Then try a Repair install. Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks
