I have ultimate 7 installed. My fire lite is detected but un-accessible. In properties its volume label is missing. My end goal is to use this for PS3 storage/backup, which means formatting it to fat32. So anyway I can just cut to that would help.
You can partition and format the USB drive in Windows Disk Management. One you partition it Disk Management should assign a drive letter. If that doesn't happen then you can also assign drive letters and change letters in Disk Management. If Windows will not allow you to format the partition using FAT32 then use a third party utility from the drive manufacturer.
its already assigned a drive letter. when i try to format it says there's no partition or something along those lines. Can I fix that also once it connects to the virtual disk service?
