My printer quit working entirely. I've downloaded a new driver, but no luck. This happened at the time I was communicating with a web host by phone, though I don't know if that's the cause. Can anyone help?

Is the printer connected directly to your PC? Elaborate on, "I was communicating with a web host." And when you say it quit working entirely, do you mean it can't even print a test page?

Thanks for getting in touch. Yes, the printer is connected directly to the PC. About the web host, I was talking to them by phone; but since there was an online connection I thought maybe that had zapped something in my computer. The printer's dead--no lights, no test page, no nothin'. Thanks again.

No lights? try the obvious, make sure the printer is plugged in to a working wall socket and the switch on the printer is on.

Can't believe it; thanks to your instructions, I switched the plug the printer was connected to... and voila. Thanks again. Buy you a beer if we ever meet.
