Comment:

Recently my Canon "Pixma" 1500 inkjet printer quit working. Whenever I try to print something, it issues an error message: "Cartridge not installed properly."

The cartridges have not been removed from the printer, and there is every indication that they still contain ink. Can the problem be corrected, or is the printer toast?
Thanks.

I would start by checking the cartridges, and printhead, try reseating them. As printheads move while printing I suppose it would be possible for something to come loose, perhaps it was not fully seated to begin with.
Also check the Canon support site, perhaps there is an answer there.
