Are you using OEM cartridges or third party? Sounds like the print head got plugged up. Have you tried printing a test page and/or running the head cleaning cycle?

Thanks for the fast reaction,
I have tried test pages but they come out blank.
The cleaning or deep clean did not help and I also cleaned the printerhead with no result.
The cartrages I use are original catrages from Canon

Long shot...

Remove all cartridges, then power down. Wait a minute or two, power up and re-install cartridges; perhaps also cleaning all cartridge contacts too with something like a soft pencil eraser.

It might work...

If the printer sets for more than a few days the ink can dry up. If your print head is removable try running hot water into the areas where the ink tank mate. You should see lots of colored water come out. After it runs clear dry well and try it again.

I had a printer just die on me. The first one I ever had hp psc 1200. I would still be using the very same one if it hadn't just died out of the blue. Like all the previous suggestions, I tried and tried, then I donated it to the salvation army.

I don't need to be right, but I am never wrong.
