Canon mb5060 says port in use

Specs: Windows 10
My printer was printing fine however I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and now when I print from my computer (set up with a wireless lan) it takes forever to process then eventually says the port is in use please wait. After 3-5 minutes sometimes it will print, sometimes it will say it cant print because the port is busy. The printer will still print wirelessly from our phones so obviously its something between the printer and the computer. I have even attached the printer by cable to the computer and it will work once or twice and come back to the same issue again. I have reinstalled the printer software numerous times and like i said it will print once or twice then we will have issues again. HELP PLEASE before I lose the plot and need to go buy a new computer and printer lol

I know this probably sounds far too simple but have you tried turning off the router for about half a minute? Many times in the past I've found this to fix network problems even if only one device was affected.

Otherwise see if there is a later driver for your printer.

After upgrading to Windows 10, did you get the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard and install them?
