My computer started to shuts down unexpectedly from one to ten minutes however never rebooted, it was just going to a black screen and the hard drive light still lit but not blinking, I moved everything from the C drive to a second hard drive I have in the computer using the safe mode option. I changed to boot from the CD and when I try to reinstall windows it just go for no more the 2 minutes and stops the installation, the hard drive light still lit but never blinks and nothing happens. This is an emachine computer about 7 years old with windows XP home. I guess that might be a bad hard drive but it worked fine when I transferred all my files in safe mode option, I dont want to buy another hard drive and dont solve the problem. Any help will really appreciated.
