Cannot get flash drive to work

Hi, I'm using windows XP, and I'm trying to get this "Silicon Power" (1GB 71) flash drive to work. The computer recognizes it as as an unknown device, and says that it either doesn't have or doesn't need drivers. Any help would be appreciated. ... john

Drivers *usually* aren't necessary. Did you try the "Silicon Power" website? Any instructions with the flash drive?

Hi jam, Thanks for replying. Yes, I did check their site, but they don't list this models. The flash drivers they listed were for windows 98, and I wasn't even sure that they were for my device. .... john
