Specs: Windows xp, pentium4 1mg
I am trying to do a fresh install of xp on a refubished hard, when i tried to boot from the cd it all started well but then hung on 7 percent formatting, so i did a hard stop, then i took the hard drive and slaved it onto another computer to format the drive fully, when i put the drive back in the machine it starts to boot but then says bootmgr missing or something like that. how can i get over this?

Get diagnostic software from hard drive manufacture website and test the drive.
Windows doesn't like to travel from one system to another unless they are similar.
U have to perform a repair if u want that HDD to boot.
