Hello all!,

I have a system with a samsung SV0411N, 40 GB HDD, installed with Windows 2000 server SP4. Right now it is working fine.

I want to fdisk and format so that I can rearrange the drive sizes. I adopted three methods but none of them is a success.

1. Started with win98 boot disc in a CD Drive and carried out all the on-screen instructions for FDISK command successfully. But when restarted, the system boots with old WIN 2000 server SP4 . That is, the FDISK information is not stored at all.

2. I booted with original WIN 2000 and tried to format drives (other than start up and system drives). After getting " Format completed successfully"message, when I view the contents of the drives, the old files are still shown.

3. I reinstalled WIN2000 with the installation CD, partitioned it, formatted and WIN 2000 files copied to the disk. When the syatem restarts for continuing the installation, the system boots with the old WIN 2000 settings and the continuation of installation does not take place.

Can any body help me to solve thos problem?
