Cannot Detect hard drive

October 10, 2009 at 11:37:52
Specs: Windows XP
My friend gave me a used T42 with dead lcd monitor. I replaced the monitor and put a new hard drive. Unfortunately, when I tried to install the WIndows XP it gave me a message that there is no hard drive. I tried to enter the BIOS setup and I cannot see the Hard Drive, only the DVD drive. Does this mean the laptop mother board is defective? Hoping someone out there can help me. Please.

You need the sata drivers.

When you see press F6 to install drivers, that it.

nlite can integrate them. Search on the manufacturers website
