IROC-Z April 27, 2013 at 04:27:19 Specs: Windows 8, 3.2GHz Intel i5 3470/ 4Gb DDR3
I was copying files from one SATA drive to another when my computer froze in the metro start menu and now one of the hard drives will not show up on any of my computers. I had to manually shut down the PC when it froze - everything is new except the 3 HDDs. I cannot see it in the BIOS, Device Manager, Computer Management or Windows Explorer. The other HDD works fine - it had the files being copied - while the HDD where the files were being copied to does not work anymore.
Check the power and data connections to the hard drive that is not showing in the BIOS. If still no go then use the drive fitness utility from the drive manufacturers site. Sounds like the hard drive has died.
