Hello all,

I can't access some of the files on my account. My account has admin privileges and I can't access my documents, desktop, favorites, and other folders without getting an error message say that the access is denied.

now i think i might no what the problem is. earlier today I was on the administrator account in safe mode and was getting access denied message when I tried to access the files on the account mentioned above. so I looked for a way around it and did something like "take ownership of the file" and then I could access them. I went back into regular mode and logged into my account and thats when the problems began. I tried making a new account but it wouldn't work because i couldn't transfer the files with getting the access error.

Can anyone help me?

Well, did you try taking ownership in regular WinXP?
