Okay. Helpful comments please. Heres my situation:
I've currently got a Compaq CQ60-114Em Laptop with an NVidia 8200M G Graphics card which when used with casual processes this is fine for me, however I'm looking to getting The Sims 3 and feel this won't be good enough. I also know it's an integrated chipset so therefore cannot be upgraded, but I was wondering if there's any slots in the laptop i could perhaps add a better graphics card to.
Ram, Processor and everything else is fine.. its only really a graphics problem.
Is it possible anyone can give any advice about this? Does anyone know if it's actually possible? What would you suggest to improve? ( I can't buy a new laptop or desktop)
Thanks
Neon
Not as far as I know. Usually a laptop is built for gaming and graphics can't be upgraded. Save your money on the Sims game and go out for dinner.
You would update your graphics card by purchasing a new laptop. That said, I think your laptop will run Sims 3...just can't tell you how well. http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA...
This site says a Geforce Go6200 or better
