acer netbook only working in safemode
I have windows xp, and on my usual desktop page can not open anything, can only access through safe mode with networking, but this is no good, i cant use i tunes,or delete any old files that need reinstalling eg itunes, which means i cant set up my new i phone, help!!!
Oh and i have to turn my netbook on off then on again or it wont come on properly, i dont have a cd drive so cant reinstall windows xp easily
It sounds like you have malware.
I replied to two topics yesterday that reported similar problems to yours.Try installing and running Malwarebytes.

"i dont have a cd drive so cant reinstall windows xp easily"You usually DO NOT need an XP CD when the netbook originally had XP installed on it to re-load the original contents of C.
In most if not all cases, you cannot install XP from an XP CD in a USB optical drive in any case.More info...
