Solved Can not stream videos online

July 17, 2011 at 06:02:19
Specs: Windows Vista

I'm trying to stream videos online, like on animeseason.com, but I can't. I worked fine about a week ago, and I don't know what I've done. I've downloaded Flash again, and also real player and Quicktime player again. And also this VLC media player, but nothing worked. (I googled my problem, and these were some of the solutions).

When I try to view the video, it is all black, and there is this small rectangle in the corner with coloured shapes inside. I don't know what this means.

Please help.

It sounds like your web browser has a hic-cup. Have you tried others?

The Small rectangle is advising you the player is not properly installed in the browser. As you have installed again, it may require removing all addons, then uninstalling the browser itself. Reboot. At this point I use a registry cleaner to remove all unnecessary entries. (I like this one - http://xprepairpro.com/)
Then reboot and install the browser, and the addons.

Hey there! Thanks for your reply!

I was wondering if there is a free registry cleaner? The link your provided me provides a free trial, or am I missing something?

I'm sorry, I have no knowledge on computers. The last link your provided (freewebs one), I install what is in it after rebooting?

Those listed on XPuser4real's site are either free or full version trial applications. If you installed the registry cleaner from there, it should work. It was abandoned by the authors. I haven't used it as the one I list first is my preference. It works very well. You will need it again. Support the software authors that produce utilities; purchase their products. They have to eat too! Without these utilities, you would have to reinstall Windows more often, or endure the laborous task of editing the entire registry by hand.
Try re-installing the browser without cleaning the registry. It may or may not solve the problem. I have better results when I use those little utilities. I am but one of many that offer assistance. Everyone has their favorite tools. Use a search engine and find yours.
