Data on floppy is only valid for roughly 5 years. If your floppy is pushing 30, it's long since expired.

Try other computers.

Hopefully you didn't compress the floppy with drivespace.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Hi Ody - was it written on a mac?

A) Jefro's advice is good.
I would try it on a pc, particularly as you advise it was created with MS Word.

B) If it has two square holes, try blanking off the 'extra' one with black (not clear) tape.

These 2 holes indicate to later pc's that it is HD.

Earlier (1980's) pc's did not use the 'extra' hole and formatted as DD.

Please advise back on progress.

As a matter of interest, where are you located? I am in Hammersmith, West London.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

Hi Mike

Thanks for the fast reply. The 3.5 disks have only one sq. hole.
Did these years ago on a Mac Plus so you can guess the age.

Just wanted to read some collage work I had done for the fun of it.

Thanks again.........

You might need an older Mac or file translation software. Don't know if and when Apple changed file system.
