When I first received my Lenovo K1 Tablet I was able to navigate to Yahoo and log into my email account as normal using my log-in name and password. Later on, a change took place in which after being asked to supply my log-in name and password, I am being asked to enter a Capcha. When I do, I am cycled back to the screen where I entered my log-in name and password. Vicious cycle. Bottom line: I can't access my Yahoo email account anymore. No problem accessing my Yahoo account on other devices.

I suspect there may have been some sort of "upgrade" to the android operating system. Any ideas/suggestions?

Usually, if the same page re-appears with an empty "capcha" box, it means you did not type the correct capcha string, in which case the page reloads for you to try again.

If you can't read the capcha string which is offered, there may be a circular arrow beside it which, when clicked, presents a different capcha string.

When entering the capcha phrase or string, remember it's usually case-sensitive where letters are concerned.

I'll answer my own question. I navigated to Screen Settings > Privacy > Reset System. After answering several confirmation-type questions, in effect swearing on the lives of my children, I clicked to proceed. Five minutes later the tablet proclaimed the factory reset was successful. Sure 'nuff I was able to log into Yahoo email with no annoying pop-up windows or CAPTCHA challenges. Also, gone are all the crap-apps loaded by family members.
I suspect the OS has regressed to V3.2. Another interesting thing... there is no longer a button labelled 'Screen Settings'.
